We Could **** You Birch - Setting

After reading the novel twice, I begin to think that Kee Thuan Chye has beautifully complemented the settings with the built up of the story line. The writer had related the past and the present time where these actors who are rehearsing on the assassination of J.W.W Birch always drop out of their character. As they drop out of the character, they began to talk about the present issues such as the political state of Malaysia and truth of the story. As in the present the setting will be mostly on the stage. However when they are rehearsing, they setting will be at Pasir Salak, Perak.
